Hair loss is a natural process which happens to everybody, so you should not worry if you notice a few strands of hair on the bathroom floor.
We actually lose 50-100 hairs daily.
Yet, if your hair has gone significantly thinner, and you have a bald patch, you might suffer from hair loss. It can be caused by numerous reasons, such as genetics, illness, childbirth, medicine use, or diet.
These are the most common factors for hair loss:
- Severe infections
- Hereditary thinning or baldness
- Eating disorder
- Autoimmune disease
- Major surgery
- Weight loss
- Stress
- Cancer treatments
- Childbirth
- Iron deficiency
- Medication
- Hair products
- Menopause
You surely have already tried some of the hair products which promise to reverse the hair loss process, but none of them actually works.
The following natural hair tonic will provide amazing effects, as it will help you strengthen and regrow your hair. It is affordable and easy to make, as it contains three ingredients:
Castor Oil
This oil is high in the amino acid ricinoleic, which enters the skin of the scalp and follicles, and regulates the pH levels, preventing hair loss and dandruff.
Egg Yolk
Egg yolks are rich in vitamins, protein, and fatty acids, which strengthen the hair, as well as vitamin E, which promotes hair growth and hydrates the hair. Also, eggs contain lecithin which prevents breakage and brittleness.
Honey
Honey is abundant in antioxidants which soften the hair and strengthen the hair follicles and the scalp. It also supports hair growth, protects against hair loss, and moisturizes the hair.
Here is how to prepare the natural hair tonic:
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of castor oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoons of honey
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients and stir. Then, apply the tonic on the scalp and roots, and then continue to the ends. Cover the hair with a shower cap and leave the tonic to act for 2-4 hours. Afterward, just wash it off. Repeat this twice a week, and in a few months, the effects will amaze you!

Hello can u use this on dreads
Hello Darlene, yes you can.
Do you shampoo and condition after using the hair mask ?
Yes Momo, when you’re done with the treatment, you can wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.
Can you use this on permed hair. Will it work on older women in mid 60’s whose hair is thin no bald spots.
Cynthia sorry for waiting, we’ve been a bit busy. Yes it works for permed hair, and when it comes to elderly women it should as well, just takes a little more time for the scalp and hair to get used to it.
Where are the replies to the questions?
This makes me a little skeptical whether this is real or not.
Where are the answers to the questions. I posted a question on aug 30th, it is now sept 12th. Is it because the person who posts the video does not monitor the site for questions, ir u don’t really care.
Hello Helena,
have you natural long hair or this is this recipe that made it growth? Thanks for your answer
Hi . .I Lost my hair cuz of my treatment due to cancer. .what do I do use remedies that would help my hair grow bk fast. ..
First and most importantly, I honestly hope that everything is ok now after the treatment. And when it comes to hair loss, you can try this remedy, or something else if it doesn’t work for you.
We are all different, so the remedies react with everyone differently.
Hey Cynthia,
Hope you are doing well now. If the follicles still remain, massaging onion juice into your scalp may help immensely, I’ve seen it work first hand. You need to apply onion juice like you would apply oil and leave it for 1- 4 hours as per convenience before shampooing and conditioning. If the smell bothers you, you can rinse with warm lemon water after the shampoo. Castor oil also works well.
Hate to ask does this work on white peoples hair
Hello I was wondering what I can substitute the egg for? My daughter has an egg allergy and I’m not sure if it’s safe for her
Hello. The thing is, eggs are very nutritional for the hair and this particular recipe revolves around those 3 ingredients. It’s better you don’t try this remedy (we don’t want it doing more harm than good).
Here is another efficient remedy (without eggs) that you can try if you want. http://homeandhealthmagazine.com/natural-home-remedy-hair-growth/
Hope it helps.
Hi. After the shampoo and conditioner, do you use a hairdryer?
Yes you can use one, but it’s always better to let the hair dry out naturally.
